10 Days of Deluxe and Standard Sri Lanka
Day 1
We shall begin our journey visiting the amazing orphaned home for 80 mixed spices of elephants. We will join the wonderful elephants in their bath at the river, feed the baby elephants, and most important have fun and experience the magical a delicate elephants. Further on, we shall continue to “Dambula” which is an amazing area full of caves in which Buddhist monks consider to be one of the most spiritual and important places in their culture and religion. The caves have many ancient drawings of the historical beauty of the Buddhism. We will be accommodated at the Amaya Lake deluxe hotel or the Sigiriya village standard hotel.
Day 2
We will start our day with a road trip to the amazing city of Anuradhapura that is well known for being the first capital of the Cinghalais religion, and as the first place the Buddhism was discovered to be scattered all over the island. We will visit the great palace of the king and see the “Budhi” tree which was brought to the location 3000 years ago from India, the tree was divided around the temples of the island. In the end of the tour we will go back to the hotel to enjoy dinner.
Day 3
We will start our morning by having breakfast at Dambula and continue to Planroa, the second largest capitol city in Sri Lanka. We will visit the kings palace and ancient bathing houses that are as 2000 year old. This are the remains of a unique culture that has vanished from our world.we will continue to the safari which is located at the Minneriya nature reserve to meet the amazing elephant herds, monkeys, and most important are the 78 butterfly species. All this wonderful creators live in this staggering green jungle which combines natural clear water lacks. We will enjoy a free evening at Dambula and will accommodate at the Maya Lake deluxe hotel or the Sigiriya Village standard hotel.
Day 4
Early morning we will continue to Sigiriya to the Lion fortress which lays in the heart of the jungle on a mountain’s peek. The fortress is known to be one of the seventh world wonders and it holds amazing delicate wall drawings older then 2000 years old. The top of the fortress is shaped as a huge lion’s head. Unfortunately, not all the fortress has been well preserved and today we have the massive lion’s feet to walk through them to enjoy the magnificent wall drawings on the way to the top.
On the way to Kandy we will have a stop at the spice market which is well known for it’s special spices. There we shall experience a local cooking demonstration and have the possibility to purchase spices. We will be accommodated at the Amaya Hills deluxe hotel or the Chaya Citadel Kandy standard hotel.
Day 5
After breakfast we will continue our tour at Kandy to visit the last Sinhala Capital city which was the only city that did not get Conquered by the British Colonialism, since it was well hidden in the mountains. Furthermore, we shall visit the local market, the art and craftsman center, also the precious stone museum. Most importantly we will go to theSacred Temple of the tooth, that contains Buddha’s tooth the most spiritual possessions to the Buddhist culture. We shall continue our tour to the botanic gardens of Paradaniya, this gardens are among the biggest in Sri Lanka and were nurtured by the British. The gardens are full of amazing giant trees that are full of fruit batts enjoying the blooming flowers. We will finish the tour at the orchid pavilion and will be accommodated at Kandy at the Maya Hills deluxe hotel or the Chaya Citadel Kandy standard hotel.
Day 6
We will be traveling to the beautiful Nuraliya that lays in the heart of the tea fields, there we will visit the tea factory and the tea fields to experience the collecting and making process of the world wide famous tea. After dinner we will set to tour in Nuraliya is also called “small England” because of all the British colonialism remains, such as horse tracks and small English look a like houses. At the evening the air tends to be cool and the air is clean and fresh to enjoy. We will be accommodated in Nuraliya at the Tea Factory deluxe hotel or the ST Andrews standard hotel.
Day 7
We will begin our morning with a road trip to Kataragama, on the way we will stop to see the breath taking Sita falls. Kataragama is a well known pilgrim site for most religions in Sri Lanka. We will be accommodated in Biala at the Ayala Village deluxe hotel or the Elephant Reach standard hotel.
Day 8
After breakfast, in the early morning hours, we shall visit Alla safari, the view is spectacular and has a unique environment. This safari is the home of many animals among them the famous Sri Lanka tigers. The rest of the we will tour at the city of Gul which some researchers think it might be the biblical ancient city of Tarshish. We will continue to an amazing fortress, a light house, and the mask museum at Amalnaguda. We will be accommodated near the ocean at the Ahungala Resort deluxe hotel or the Riverina standard hotel.
Day 9
After breakfast we shall enjoy an amazing cruse to Alafitiya there we will visit staggering blue lagoons, many bird species, and learn about the fishermen’s life’s and the merchants culture. Furthermore, we will visit a magical turtle nesting area in Kusuda. At the wand of the day we will tour in the city of Colombo, which is well known for it’s markets and it is the most modern and vivid city in Sri Lanka. There you can enjoy some free time to shop for souvenirs. The feast of the evening we will have a wonderful farewell party at the Ahungala Resort deluxe hotel or the Riverina standard hotel.
Day 10
After getting to know the magical and amazing Sri Lanka we will transfer to the airport for our flight back home..
